23 febbraio 1945 - Boston IV nr. BZ482 - Disperso

Operation Records Book (RAF Form 540): Falconara 22.2.45 - 10 Bostons briefed to operate. The railway loading points at Rovigo and at Cormons were the targets with 5 a/c on each target and armed recce in NE Italy to follow. The weather was good but very hazy north of the Po. Visibility later was down to 1-2 miles and there were occasional patches of 1-/10 Sc at 2-3000 ft in the northern area. Two of our aircraft on the sidings at Cormons are Missing. The crew were:

Dei due Boston del 55° Sqn. RAF non rientrati la notte tra il 22 ed il 23 febbraio non si ebbero più notizie e resta ignota la sorte degli equipaggi, che sono ricordati al Malta Memorial come dispersi di guerra. Non è da escludere una possibile collisione tra i due aerei durante il volo sull'Adriatico, tra Falconara ed il Friuli, con conseguente inabissamento e scomparsa degli equipaggi.
